Traffic Tips To Get People To Your Website

Written on November 18th, 2009 by Wayneno shouts

CLICK HERE For Instant Targeted Traffic

Let’s talk traffic and how to get it. Your website has at most, 10 seconds to grab the attention of your visitor, so you need to have something “interest grabbing” above the fold. That’s a newspaper term for what people see when looking at the top part of a paper.
With more than 50 million websites out there, your viewers will demand topic specific information that will make them bookmark you, recommend you to their friends, and make them return over and over.

An easy subscribe method on your site is a must. If must have an easy way for people to subscribe or you are literally throwing away customers; something you can’t afford to do in these competitive times.

Building a list is one of the single most important things you can do to survive and stay alive in business. One of the easiest ways to build a list is to offer something free to all subscribers. Offer value and people will stay with you for a very long time. If you don’t have a large list of your own, then barter or buy advertising with someone who does have a large list with the same target market audience as you.

Take your list, no matter how big or how small and ask your subscribers to refer 2 people to your site. Offer them something of value for helping you. Explain to them that you are trying to build your list so you can improve your site so that it will be more beneficial to them.

We are all just ordinary people out there and many of us are happy to help others. Make sure there is a link on your site for people to forward your site to others with one click. Think, how many times has a friend sent you a site to look at. We all do it.

Don’t forget to always include your website at the bottom of every email you send. Make sure you use it in a sig file at any webboard you join. Same for newsgroups. Consider sending funny pictures out to friends and relatives with your sig file in the email. As they forward your email to others and they refer to others it will explode. Make sure you have a very effective sig file. This allows you to keep building and building.

One of the most important things you can do with your website is to make sure any link that goes away from your site is set to open in a new window. This way your visitors do not leave your site and don’t have to try and find a way back once they have finished at the other site. Your site must be as user friendly as possible.

Getting your website link on other websites. Links to your site will affect your search engine rankings. The higher your ranking the more visitors. It’s that simple. But not just any link will do. You need quality links that also relate to your business. Avoid link farms. Search engines will view your site negatively if you are in link farms or god forbid, webrings. Don’t link with just anyone. Go for quality.

A free site that will help you to get and exchange quality links is Ken Evoy’s SiteSell. Free is good and they make it very easy for you. It one reason I return to their site over and over. Have a look http://value-exchange.sitesell.com Consider exchanging banners with these sites. It a benefit for both of you.

Get listed in ezine directories and search engines. Submit by hand and not by some mass program. Many of them don’t work properly and search engines are starting to ignore them. Start with http://www.dmoz.org as they feed a lot of other search engines. Then hit the top five.

Get Google traffic. It’s not that hard. There’s no special trick. Simply go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and read their recommendations and then make sure you implement them into your site so that your site is properly optimized. Set aside some time every day…15 minutes to an hour and work on optimizing your site correctly.

Want to get into Yahoo the free way. It’s easy…visit here http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request It may take a month or more, but it will save you a lot of money. If you are in a hurry and time is money then used the paid listing. It by no means guarantee that you will get it and they will not refund your money if they reject you, but if you have done things right you should be ok.

If you can write articles do so. If you don’t then put appropriate articles on your site for others to read. Either will bring you traffic. Archived articles that you have written can bring you traffic for years to come. This is an effective long term strategy and will help to establish you and your credentials as well.

A popular ezine directory like http://www.ezinehub.com will give you some insight on what ezines will accept your articles and submitting to ezine article sites will give you even wider distribution. Make sure all your articles include a small footer at the end, about the author. This should be kept to 4-5 lines and has to be as effective as possible in order to bring you new visitors.

Get Traffic to Your Website – 3 Expert Tips to Promote Your Site

Written on November 12th, 2009 by Wayneno shouts

Setting up your website so the search engines love it is vital to your business being relevant to the internet spiders that crawl your pages.  Doing all the basics that SEO experts tell you for optimizing you pages is essential for to get traffic to your website.

Once all of this is done, it is worthless unless you also promote your website in the right ways to bring you direct traffic from clicks on your links, and from search engine results.  If you throw up great, SEO optimized pages, and do nothing, you will get nothing.

So here are three very simple steps you can put into action immediately to start promoting your online business, and get traffic to your website:

1. Create an Opt-in Form on your website.

The easiest way to get repeat visitors and repeat buyers is to create and opt in list.  You do this by placing an opt in form on your website.  It is connected through autorepsonder software that is designed to handle your email database, and broadcast messages to your customers.

This database enables you to literally tell your customers when and why to come back to your site.  If your site is relevant and full of good content, they will do exactly as you tell them.  This is highly targeted traffic.

2. Write Great Articles and Post them in Article Directories.

Writing articles, or article marketing, is very powerful.  Using the keyword phrases of your niche site to create short, informative articles will bring you direct traffic for life.  It will also create a steady new flow of back links that raises your relevance to the search engines.

Your relevance is everything to a spider.  Posting 2 or more articles per week will help you build a powerful pool of inbound links to your website.  Check out the top 50 directories and start posting.  You have everything to gain by promoting your website this way.

3. Good Use of Press Releases.

Study the online press releases, and start creating some for your site.  You’ll be amazed at how much direct web traffic this creates, and it is very highly targeted.

By posting your press leases to press release sites, you get traffic to your website directly from the release, as well as new back links.  The back links from press release sites are very relevant and powerful from the eyes of a search engine spider.  So learn how to promote your site this way as soon as possible.

More Website Traffic – Web Traffic from SEO Pt 2

Written on November 7th, 2009 by Wayneno shouts

SEO isn’t so elusive, and the steps to using it to get more website traffic can be easily put in place.  Previously, I showed you 3 simple tests for choosing keyword phrases that will bring you the best results.

Now lets look at the second step of bringing your search engine optimization of your website up to speed.  By doing this step, you increase your niche website relevance to both your readers and to the search engine spiders.  What’s the step?

Get More Website Traffic through Back Link Management

Having other site linking to your website is a major step in making your website a bullseye for targeted traffic from Google, MSN (Bing), and Yahoo.  To the search engine spider, the number of  back links is just like being in your high school popularity contest.

To be a major player in your niches stack of online websites, you must get a lot of other people pointing to you.  This is called an off page element of SEO, and since it isn’t as easily manipulated as the on page factors like the keywords you choose, it is highly weighted by the search engines.

The text used to create the link back to your website is also very important.  This is called the anchor text, and the more often that this anchor text contains a keyword phrase relevant to your website, the better for your results.  This also can directly increase online traffic through direct clicks on the links.

There are many places to put your links.  Social websites are great.  Online directories with good page rank are also very good places to be listed.  You can search the web for directories relevant to your niche, and place links in those directories

Also, high traffic blogs are great, and using resources where you can leave comments with your link back to your site will help build your back link count.  Finally, don’t forget to get listed in the DMOZ directory.  It remains a top place of relevance for your listing.

This step of back linking combined with Step 1 in part 1 of this article series makes all the difference in the world on how your website is seen by real viewers and by the major search engines.  Do these 2 steps correctly, and more website traffic will be yours.

You can learn exactly how I put these two power steps to work to create an immediate swarm of targeted traffic when any of my websites go live.  Just click the link below:…

More Website Traffic – Web Traffic from SEO Pt 1

Written on November 5th, 2009 by Wayneno shouts

Can You Get More Website Traffic from Search Engine Optimization?

But really, the first question is, what is search engine optimization?  Sounds like something very elusive, and extremely difficult. But is it really?

The fact is, targeted traffic is the key to your online business success.  If you don’t present what searchers are looking for, then they will just be gone as fast as they arrive.  The same is true if you don’t present the right information to the search engines.

Another well known fact in the search engine optimization world is that only about 2 – 5 % of all websites will spend the time necessary to be “search engine optimized.”  So you, even as a small business owner, do have the power to get seen and “steal” targeted web traffic from the search engines.

Your website visibility to readers and search engine spiders can dramatically improve by applying some basic search engine traffic techniques.  Strategically optimizing your business site can and will bring you more website traffic and more highly targeted search engine traffic.

The First Step in SEO for More Website Traffic

Choosing the right keywords is KEY!  But as a new website owner or even an experienced one, you should be looking for phrases, not individual words.  DID YOU HEAR ME?  Phrases are less competitive, which means that there are many fewer websites in your niche market using the same phrase.  So your keywords must pass these four tests:

  1. Must be phrases 3 or four words, not single words
  2. The phrases must describe the products or services or your specific niche
  3. Your keywords must center around solutions your product or service provides

When you find the best possible keyword phrases, they will do all of the above, and thus they will increase website traffic through Google, MSN (Bing), and Yahoo….

Stay tuned for more in Part 2…
